Warm welcome to Texans in Puerto Vallarta

More Texan visitors will arrive to Puerto Vallarta with the launch of a new flight route on Thursday, October 15, 2015. Southwest Airlines announced a new direct flight from the airport “William P. Hobby” in Houston, Texas, the fourth most populated city in the United States and an important business center with a potential numbers of travelers, to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The new flight will be a daily service between Houston and Puerto Vallarta. Southwest has detected that there is great business potential due to extraordinary attraction and the natural beauty of the Mexican Pacific coast. It’s one of the destinations that are in the minds of travelers living in this region of the United States.

The airline will operate with Boeing 737 airplanes with a 143 traveler capacity. Expectations for this operation are very positive and it is anticipated that during winter the flights will arrive at 100 percent capacity.

Authorities from Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco gave a warm welcome with mariachi music and a regional drink to the first 125 travelers and aircrew from Houston. The travelers were really surprised by the warm reception that was organized and were anxious to go out and explore the attractions and beauty of this region.

This is the second route that the company established this year between the United States and Puerto Vallarta. In July they started offering a direct flight between Orange County and Puerto Vallarta. In November a new flight that will connect Vallarta to Denver will be added.
